Eating for Health Recipe Club

The Recipe Club meets on the fourth Tuesday of each month, March to November. It starts at 7pm and usually finishes by 8.30pm.

Each meeting consists of a cooking demonstration featuring up to three healthful vegetarian or vegan recipes. Printed recipes are provided along with a Signs magazine. Samples of the recipes prepared on the night, will be made ready for you to try after the health talk..

There are door prizes as well, usually consisting of some of the ingredients of the night’s recipes, to encourage you to try them at home. There are free brochures and booklets at the front door to take home too, and some nights we give away fruit or veggies from a member’s home garden.

Recipes vary from main dishes to desserts or from savouries to snacks. The important thing is that each dish is healthy and easy to create from the abundance out of God’s garden.

After the cooking demonstration, there is a short health talk on topics varying from healthful lifestyle, weight loss or the downsides of caffeine, high blood pressure and diabetes. Following the health talk, it’s time to taste some of the delightful samples from earlier, and to enjoy the social occasion!
