The Layman and His Bible
The Millennium
The aim of this study is to
show that God is both merciful and just.
We will receive either mercy or justice.
Throughout the study passages below, you
will notice words highlighted in lilac,
or bold or
Italic.
When the text is LILAC move your
mouse over the word or words for a detailed description of what
to do with the text in your Bibles.
Some of the passages are written in red

are the words of Jesus.
Please open your Bible. Read and mark the

The page Titles are the subject topics. For example "The

Lesson 9 of 29
Revelation 20:1-6
1 And I saw an angel
come down from heaven, having the key of the bottomless
pit and a great chain in his hand.
4 And I saw thrones,
and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto
them: and I saw the souls
of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus,
and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped
the beast, neither his image, neither had received
his mark upon their foreheads,
or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ
a thousand years.
5 But the rest of
the dead lived not again until the thousand years were
finished. This is the
first resurrection.
6 Blessed and holy
is he that hath part in
the first resurrection: on such the second death hath
no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ,
and shall reign with him a thousand years.
John 5:28, 29
28Marvel not at this: for the hour
is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall
hear his voice,
17 Then we which are
alive and remain shall
be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet
the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the
Lord.
18 Wherefore comfort
one another with these words.
37 Peter said unto
him, Lord, why cannot I follow thee now? I will lay
down my life for thy sake.
38 Jesus answered
him, Wilt thou lay down thy life
for my sake? Verily, verily, I say unto thee, The cock
shall not crow, till thou hast denied me thrice.
John 14:1-3
1Let not your heart be troubled:
ye believe in God, believe also in me
2In my Father's house are
many mansions: if it were
not so,
I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.
3And if I go and prepare a place
for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself;
that where I am, there
ye may be also.
2 Thessalonians 2:8
8 And then shall that
Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with
the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the
brightness of his coming:
28 For this shall
the earth mourn, and the heavens above be black: because
I have spoken it, I have
purposed it, and will
not repent, neither will I turn back from it.
13 And the sea gave
up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered
up the dead which were in them: and they were judged
every man according to their works.
14 And death and hell
were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second
death.
15 And whosoever was
not found written in the book of life was cast into
the lake of fire.
2 Corinthians 5:10
10 For we must all
appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every
one may receive the things done
in his body, according
to that he hath done, whether
it be good or bad.
23 For the wages of
sin is death; but the
gift of God is eternal
life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Malachi 4:1-3
1 For, behold, the
day cometh, that shall burn as an oven; and all the
proud, yea, and all that do wickedly, shall be stubble:
and the day that cometh shall
burn them up, Circle

2 But unto you that
fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with
healing in his wings; and ye shall go forth, and grow
up as calves of the stall.
7 And when the thousand
years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his
prison,
8 And shall go out
to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters
of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together
to battle: the number of whom
is as the sand of the sea.
9 And they went up
on the breadth of the earth, and compassed the camp
of the saints about, and the beloved city: and fire
came down from God out of heaven, and devoured them.
10 And the devil that
deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone,
where the beast and the false prophet
are, and shall be tormented
day and night for ever and ever.
Revelation 21 : 10
10 And he carried
me away in the spirit to a great and high mountain,
and shewed me that great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending
out of heaven from God,
Revelation 21 : 1, 2
1 And I saw a new
heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the
first earth were passed away; and there was no more
sea.
2 And I John saw the
holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of
heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.
**During the millennium we experience
either the justice or the mercy of God.
CONCLUSION: If we have accepted Jesus as our Saviour, we have
nothing to fear from the judgment.
