MY PRAYER

Heavenly Father, just and true, merciful and kind. Lord Jesus Christ, Son of the living God forgive me, for I have transgressed against thee continually through my days.

I wilfully and rudely swore against thee, I condemned thee, cursed thee, forsook thee and blasphemed against thee.

Thy laws meant nothing and I trampled upon them all, at times not really knowing how much pain I was inflicting upon thee or that my very own future was at risk.

At other times it was a wilful act of rebellion.

I am ashamed of what I’ve done to thee.

You called me and I answered. you forgave and I accepted.

I tried to do it myself and have failed again and again.

I try to depend totally on thee, but somehow constantly seem to fall short of thy grasp and so I stumble.

I have declared that so long as I have breath in my mortal body, I shall fight until a victory for thee is achieved.

I’ll never totally give up, as long as I know and believe that you are there, waiting with a tender, merciful, forgiving heart, to accept me.

Thank you for being so patient.  Thank you for Your mercy and love.  O Thank you for Jesus Your Son.
