STAY FOR A WHILE

Stay for a while please Father,
I need you every day,
I have many things to tell you,
And there’s things I’d like to say.

Stay for a while Lord Jesus,
My heart shows what I need,
Your love and gentle friendship,
To you I make my plea.

Stay for a while please Spirit,
Your strength will overcome,
My sinful state and hardened heart,
To mould me like the Son.

Stay for a while please Godhead,
As with you I shall roam,
Jesus paid the debts for me,
The price to take me home.
