Lesson 26 of 29
Romans 15:4
4 For whatsoever things
were written aforetime were written for our learning,
that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures
might have hope.
Hebrews 9:22
22 And almost all
things are by the law purged with blood; and without
shedding of blood is no remission.
Genesis 4:3-5
3 And in process of
time it came to pass, that Cain brought of the fruit of
the ground an offering unto the LORD.
4 And Abel, he also
brought of the firstlings of his flock and of the fat
thereof. And the LORD had respect unto Abel and to his
offering:
5 But unto Cain and to
his offering he had not respect. And Cain was very
wroth, and his countenance fell.
4 Which had the golden
censer, and the ark of the covenant overlaid round about
with gold, wherein was the
golden pot that had manna, and Aaron's rod that budded,
and the tables of the covenant;
5 And over it the
cherubims of glory shadowing the mercyseat; of which we
cannot now speak particularly.
6 Now when these things
were thus ordained, the priests went always into the
first tabernacle, accomplishing the service
of God.
12 And I turned to see
the voice that spake with me. And being turned, I saw
seven golden candlesticks;
13 And in the midst of
the seven candlesticks one
like unto the Son of man, clothed with a garment down to
the foot, and girt about the paps with a golden girdle.
Revelation 11:19
19 And the temple of
God was opened in heaven, and there was seen in his
temple the ark of his testament: and there were
lightnings, and voices, and thunderings, and an
earthquake, and great hail.
Revelation 8:3, 4
3 And another angel
came and stood at the altar, having a golden censer; and
there was given unto him much incense, that he should
offer it with the prayers
of all saints upon the golden altar Circle Text Please turn to and Circle these words...
which was before the
throne.
4 And the smoke of the
incense, which came with
the prayers of the saints, ascended up before God out of
the angel's hand.
53 Then Jesus said unto
them, Verily, verily, I say unto
you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and
drink his blood, ye have no life in you.
63It is the spirit that quickeneth;
the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto
you, they are spirit, and they
are life.
Leviticus 4:27-31
27 And if any one of
the common people sin through ignorance, while he doeth
somewhat against any of the
commandments of the LORD
concerning things which ought not to be done, and
be guilty;
28 Or if his sin, which
he hath sinned, come to his knowledge: then he shall
bring his offering, a kid of the goats, a female without
blemish, for his sin which he hath sinned.
29 And he shall lay his
hand upon the head of the sin offering, and slay the sin
offering in the place of the burnt offering.
30 And the priest shall
take of the blood thereof with his finger, and put
it upon the horns of the
altar of burnt offering, and shall pour out all the
blood thereof at the bottom of the altar.
31 And he shall take
away all the fat thereof, as the fat is taken away from
off the sacrifice of peace offerings; and the priest
shall burn it upon the
altar for a sweet savour unto the LORD; and the priest
shall make an atonement for him, and it shall be
forgiven him.
Leviticus 16:4-22
4 He shall put on the
holy linen coat, and he shall have the linen breeches
upon his flesh, and shall be girded with a linen girdle,
and with the linen mitre shall he be attired: these
are holy garments;
therefore shall he wash his flesh in water, and so put
them on.
5 And he shall take of
the congregation of the children of Israel two kids of
the goats for a sin offering, and one ram for a burnt
offering.
6 And Aaron shall offer
his bullock of the sin offering, which
is for himself, and make an
atonement for himself, and for his house.
7 And he shall take the
two goats, and present them before the LORD
at the door of the
tabernacle of the congregation.
8 And Aaron shall cast
lots upon the two goats; one lot for the LORD, and the
other lot for the scapegoat.
9 And Aaron shall bring
the goat upon which the LORD'S lot fell, and offer him
for a sin offering.
10 But the goat, on
which the lot fell to be the scapegoat, shall be
presented alive before the LORD, to make an atonement
with him, and to let him go
for a scapegoat into the wilderness.
11 And Aaron shall
bring the bullock of the sin offering, which
is for himself, and shall
make an atonement for himself, and for his house, and
shall kill the bullock of the sin offering which
is for himself:
12 And he shall take a
censer full of burning coals of fire from off the altar
before the LORD, and his hands full of sweet incense
beaten small, and bring it
within the vail:
13 And he shall put the
incense upon the fire before the LORD, that the cloud of
the incense may cover the mercy seat that
is upon the testimony, that
he die not:
14 And he shall take of
the blood of the bullock, and sprinkle
it with his finger upon the
mercy seat eastward; and before the mercy seat shall he
sprinkle of the blood with his finger seven times.
15 Then shall he kill
the goat of the sin offering, that
is for the people, and bring his blood within the
vail, and do with that blood as he did with the blood of
the bullock, and sprinkle it upon the mercy seat, and
before the mercy seat:
16 And he shall make an
atonement for the holy place,
because of the uncleanness of the children of Israel,
and because of their transgressions in all their sins:
and so shall he do for the tabernacle of the
congregation, that remaineth among them in the midst of
their uncleanness.
17 And there shall be
no man in the tabernacle of the congregation when he
goeth in to make an atonement in the holy
place, until he come out,
and have made an atonement for himself, and for his
household, and for all the congregation of Israel.
18 And he shall go out
unto the altar that is
before the LORD, and make an atonement for it; and shall
take of the blood of the bullock, and of the blood of
the goat, and put it upon
the horns of the altar round about.
19 And he shall
sprinkle of the blood upon it with his finger seven
times, and cleanse it, and hallow it from the
uncleanness of the children of Israel.
20 And when he hath
made an end of reconciling the holy
place, and the tabernacle
of the congregation, and the altar, he shall bring the
live goat:
21 And Aaron shall lay
both his hands upon the head of the live goat, and
confess over him all the iniquities of the children of
Israel, and all their transgressions in all their sins,
putting them upon the head of the goat, and shall send
him away by the hand of a
fit man into the wilderness:
22 And the goat shall
bear upon him all their iniquities unto a land not
inhabited: and he shall let go the goat in the
wilderness.
Matthew 27:50, 51
50 Jesus, when he had
cried again with a loud voice, yielded up the ghost.
51 And, behold, the
veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the
bottom; and the earth did quake, and the rocks rent;
Hebrews 8:1, 2
1 Now of the things
which we have spoken this is
the sum: We have such an high priest, who is set on the
right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens;
2 A minister of the
sanctuary, and of the true tabernacle, which the Lord
pitched, and not man.
Hebrews 9:25, 26
25 Nor yet that he
should offer himself often, as the high priest entereth
into the holy place every year with blood of others;
26 For then must he
often have suffered since the foundation of the world:
but now once in the end of the world hath he appeared to
put away sin by the sacrifice of himself.
Revelation 22:11
11 He that is unjust,
let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let him
be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be
righteous still: and he that is holy, let him be holy
still.
